wedding day 2 – groom, fit checks & food struggles 💫
Day 2 kicked off with Mom finally pulling up to the hometown! 🚉 She came in the morning and boom—we all got dressed up again, ready for round two of the shaadi saga.
First stop: my friend’s mandapam. We had some breakfast (kinda, not really, you’ll see), and then made our way to the groom’s house for a small ritual. It was pretty chill, not much drama or action today—but ngl, the whole day was just one big fashion show. We kept changing fits for every single event. 👗🔥
Now comes the LOL moment—
One of Dad’s friends just casually walks in and whispers something to him. We’re all like ?? And then Dad’s like, “He just remembered it’s his own wedding anniversary today.” 😭
His wife had to remind him, and now he’s rushing to the temple.
Everyone around cracked up, asking him: “Wait, how long have you been married?” “When’s the real wedding?”
And we were all like 👀👀
Anyway, in between all the laughs, people kept complimenting my outfit and hairstyle (again 😌) — said I had good dressing sense. Y’all, validation = accepted.
We came back home, and me and my sis were so hungry. Like yes, technically we ate—but in wedding functions they overload your banana leaf so much that you just look at the food and get full. 🍌🍛😭
During lunch, one of Dad’s friends randomly calls me like, “Come, let’s go shopping.”
And I was like, “Uhh, no thanks—I’ll get tanned.” 🫠
BIG MISTAKE. That one line gave them full ammo to roast me for the rest of the day 💀
We ended the night with a solid dinner (finallyyy), went back home, and guess what?
Mom made us rewatch our sangeet performance again 😂
We had a mini gossip session about the day, some post-wedding vibes talk, and then knocked out. 💤
